Welcome Megan!

Megan is an undergraduate co-op student working with the VandenBoer group for the summer. She is pursuing her BSc in Environmental Sciences at the University of British Columbia. Through the summer she will be learning about the analytical challenges and techniques used to quantify reactive nitrogen in the indoor environment. Welcome Megan!

Leyla receives Harold I. Schiff graduate award! #indoorchem #realtimechem #cdnchem @YorkUScience

Leyla Salehpoor has been awarded the Harold I. Schiff graduate award. This award is given to outstanding graduates of York University entering a York graduate program specializing in atmospheric chemistry. Leyla is applying several Environmental/Analytical Chemistry techniques to improve our capabilities to measure amines, so we can better understand their chemistry in indoor atmospheres. Congratulations Leyla!

New positions available for graduate students and postdoctoral fellow! Work in collaboration with @caputolabyork and @IAWinGWN on #IndoorChem #CDNChem #ChemJobs @Chemjobber @YorkUScience @YUResearch

The VDB Chem Group is looking for skilled and motivated graduate students and postdoctoral fellow to pursue research questions on the emission and fate of indoor atmospheric reactive nitrogen! Positions begin in September 2019 and applications will be considered as they are received. Please see the links to each position for more details.

Atmospheric Chemistry Excursion to MECP

A large contingent of undergraduate and graduate students in the Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory went to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks learn about emergency responses to hazardous atmospheric pollution (e.g. fires, derailments) and the measurements that help us understand when health outcomes are linked to atmospheric chemistry through the Air Quality Health Index. Special thanks to our host scientists Nick Karellas, Rob Healy, and John Wang!
